Kolan is located some 70 kilometres from Zadar. It is situated in the central part of the island of Pag, and is home to the delicacy that is Pag cheese. Well-known to gourmets across the world, it is without doubt the pride of the locals. As many as two celebrations are organised in its honour – the Cheese Festival, celebrated for years now, and Skutafest.
